Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various construction projects, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that work sites are safe, organized, and efficient. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute directly to the successful completion of building and infrastructure projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of construction, including roofing, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, carpentry, and more.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and clean-up of construction sites, ensuring a safe and tidy environment for all team members.
- Support skilled tradespeople by handling materials, tools, and equipment needed for roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical installations, plastering, fabrication, masonry, and carpentry tasks.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Help with the installation of roofing systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical wiring, and construction painting projects.
- Follow schematics and blueprints to aid in the accurate assembly or modification of structures.
- Assist with site safety protocols by maintaining proper signage and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Participate in site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets project specifications.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with a variety of construction skills such as roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, masonry, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, and construction painting.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely is essential.
- Knowledge of schematics and blueprints will be advantageous.
- Experience working with construction materials such as concrete, wood, metal, or drywall is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills on-site.
