Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Tech Sales (Manchester)
My client is a specialist recruitment business built around placing top enterprise software sales talent into fast growing technology vendors across AI, cyber security, machine learning, RPA and analytics.
Founded in 2017, the business has grown quickly and now operates across several countries, with further expansion planned across the UK. They're hiring ambitious trainees to join their Manchester team.
The role
This is a genuine route into international headhunting, not a standard entry level job. Core responsibilities include:
- Identifying and engaging top performing software sales professionals
- Qualifying and delivering candidates to senior consultants
- Managing the full candidate lifecycle
- Building and developing your own tech sales niche
- Conducting in depth market research
- Generating TSIs and building long term talent pipelines
You'll become a specialist in one of the fastest growing sectors in the market.
What you can expect
- Average deal size of £25k to £35k
- 100% of roles are exclusive or retained, so you're not sharing desks with other delivery consultants and have a genuine run at every role you take on
- Realistic earnings of around £50k in year one, £75k in year two and £100k+ in year three
- Commission at 10% on billings up to £50k, rising to 30% above £50k, resetting every six months
- Two annual incentive trips for top performers. Recent destinations include Marbella, the Peak District, Ibiza (twice), Rio de Janeiro and the Milan F1 Grand Prix, with an African safari planned for later this year
- Quarterly lunch clubs when the wider team significantly overachieves
- A strong, supportive team culture with a track record of promoting from within
What we're looking for
Around 6 months to a year of recruitment experience is ideal, though we'll consider strong trainees with the right drive and work ethic.
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 basic, plus uncapped commission.
