Our Client in Stafford are looking for a chef that is responsible and expected for overseeing kitchen operations and preparing high quality dishes while managing kitchen staff and ensuring food safety regulations and standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes and menus
- Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality, freshness, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised and compliant with sanitation standards including regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces
- Oversee inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies and controlling food costs.
- Check environment of kitchen for compliance according to PPM books and Food Safety Regulations
- Ensure correct usage storage and care of food products, stock control and equipment
Knowledge & Skills:
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Proven experience in a kitchen and strong understanding of various cooking techniques and
cuisines
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong team player with the ability to influence and manage effectively.
- Good communication, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations an best practice in food handling and preparatio
As a Bank Chef you must have:
- Work Experience as a chef or similar role
- Hands-on experience with food preparation and managing a kitchen environment
- Experience working within a team
- Experience of handling conflicting priorities and expectations to ensure successful outcomes
