Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Self-Employed Painter and Decorator to bring vibrant, professional finishes to a variety of projects. Strong communication skills and reliable transportation are essential to coordinate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring each project exceeds expectations.
Duties
- Possible Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with skill and precision across diverse environments.
- Manage your own schedule, estimating project timelines and coordinating work to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Communicate clearly with clients about project scope, progress, and any adjustments needed throughout the process.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly after each project.
- Use driving skills to travel between multiple sites safely and efficiently, ensuring timely project completion.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting, decorating, or related trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Valid driving license with reliable transportation for traveling between job sites.
- Fluency in English for effective communication with clients and suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and technical instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating work environments.
