Are you an experienced production line manager looking for a change of environment or looking for the next step in your career?
We are looking for an individual who can ensure the production line is operating correctly. They will need to carry out checks and make adjustments to assure the line is functioning to its full potential. The candidate will also be required to supervise the team and work alongside the team on the production line to ensure the smooth running of the department.
Our company turnover has doubled within the last 2 years so we are looking for a hardworking, reliable individual to join and lead our production team.
In this role, you will be working in our 9 acre glasshouse producing plants to be grown on for our retail stores. We can offer 40-50 hours per week with limited weekend work. Full training is provided so no experience in horticulture is necessary.
Our nursery is on the outskirts of Yeovil so we provide free parking.
We offer pay and working conditions well above the industry average dependent on your skills and experience. Our site is currently undergoing major renovations to both expand our operations and improve staff facilities. We are a growing company with great opportunities for the right candidate.
The job requires lifting and being on your feet all day so would require someone who has a reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to get stuck in.
The nursery is generally operational from 7/8am to 5/6pm although this varies throughout the year – staff generally prefer to work full days however this can be discussed at interview. Holiday entitlement in 28 days per year on a pro rata basis subject to hours worked.
