We are looking for a hard-working and ambitious individual to join our Christmas Tree and Farms team at Stockeld Park in North Yorkshire.
The role will focus on the cultivation of our extensive Christmas tree plantation, as well as working across the wider estate as needed.
For much of the year, the role involves pruning and shaping the Christmas trees, as well as other specialist tasks necessary for optimising their cultivation. Through autumn and into December, the role changes with a focus on preparing for and then executing the Christmas tree harvest, with some 35,000 trees needing to be felled, prepared and shipped to customers across the country.
In addition to working on the Christmas trees, the role also involves intermittent work across the rest of the estate at Stockeld, including fencing, logging, hedge-trimming, supporting the shoot and various other tasks that may arise.
We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do mindset, who is happy to work on the same task for long periods, but equally ready to adapt to whatever the day brings.
If you having experience operating a chainsaw this would be a significant benefit.
If you think this person might be you, please get in touch.
