As the Finance Manager & Assistant Office Manager, you will be responsible for the month-end management accounts, cashflow, forecasting, day to day office management and involvement in all parts of running a small office. This role will work directly with the MD and Business Manager.
· Accounts Payable and Receivable Management
· Government reporting, VAT Return etc.
· Management Accounts and Reports
· Monthly/Quarterly/Year end close
· Processes expenses and invoices
· Maintain records and support auditing efforts
· Payroll Preparation, PAYE & NI recording.
· Maintain Fixed Assets
· Monthly Stock Control Management
· Assist in Annual Budget Preparation
· Assists with, and help organise and audit the company's systems, databases, and procedures
· Being fluent in English & Japanese, both verbal and written would be a distinct advantage.
· Answers general emails and postal correspondence with customers and suppliers
· Creates budgets and orders office supplies
· Files and archives accurate records
· Assist with health and safety as well as fire regulations within the office
· Assist with negotiations and manage office insurance contracts
· Assist & Manage the customer complaint procedure
· Ad hoc & General office duties when necessary
· Support & Assist the Business Manager
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you must have prior experience with month-end procedures, P&Ls, forecasting, cashflow & office management. Adopting a ‘can do’ attitude and flexibility is important.
· Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts
· Understanding of finance regulations and legislation
· Knowledge of business strategy and methodology
· Analytical skills

· Strong attention to detail
· Good academic records
· Accounting related degree is a plus
· Experience in Currency (FX)
ACCA, CIMA, AAT or similar qualification
· Previous accounting experience
· Good computer skills and competent with MS Office Suite, Excel, word and PowerPoint.
· Knowledge of SAGE 200C Accounting Software.
· Sage 50 Payroll
What you'll get in return
In addition to a salary of circa £40k to £45k, Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, 20 holidays + statutory (increasing each year to a maximum of 28 day + statutory), on-site parking, a 37.5 hour working week and is 100% in the office.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
