Full-Time | Permanent | Days - 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs with 2pm finish on a Friday
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical maintenance professional who enjoys fault-finding, improving equipment reliability, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities, supporting equipment improvements, and helping drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime and maintain production performance.
- Work safely within ATEX zoned hazardous areas.
- Inspect, maintain and repair motors, control panels, sensors, instrumentation and electrical distribution systems.
- Support electrical installations, modifications and equipment upgrades.
- Follow lock out/tag out (LOTOTO), permit-to-work and electrical isolation procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system.
- Support continuous improvement projects to improve safety, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production teams and external contractors.
- Assist with electrical safety audits, inspections and investigations as required.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship (Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of electrical safety regulations and safe systems of work.
- Experience carrying out maintenance in a manufacturing, process or industrial environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Desirable
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience (approximately 70% Electrical / 30% Mechanical).
- COMPEX certification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- PLC fault-finding experience; DeltaV experience would be advantageous.
- Instrumentation experience.
- Basic hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge.
- Experience working in ATEX or hazardous area environments.
