Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Weekend Receptionist to join our team at Highborder Lodge Residential Home. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organisational skills and experience in administrative support, looking to contribute to a welcoming and efficient front desk environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and providing essential administrative assistance during weekend shifts. Prior office experience and proficiency with relevant software are highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team setting.
Working hours are every Saturday & Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
Duties
- Answering and directing phone calls with excellent phone etiquette
- Taking enquiries down accurately
- Greeting visitors and Family into the Home, ensuring a friendly, professional reception area
- Managing appointment scheduling and calendar organisation
- Performing data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
- Assisting with basic administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organising documents
- Handling incoming emails and correspondence efficiently
- Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area at all times
- Supporting other clerical duties as required to ensure smooth office operations
Skills
- Good telephone manners and professional communication skills
- Previous office or administrative experience is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
