About Hotel Receptionist role
We are looking for a receptionist that understands what it takes to be the best and preferably with proven success in a similar environment. Applicants for the post will demonstrate flexibility with work hours as this position will involve shift patterns. Receptionist role is a Casual Hour Contract.
The successful Receptionist will undertake the following duties:
- Fully responsible for ensuring that we meet our guests’ expectations – from arrival, to departure and return
- Providing excellent customer service, in line with Regency Park Hotel standards
- To coordinate with housekeeping department in order to ensure the guest requests are achieved in timely manner
- To be conversant with special promotions and room selling techniques and promote hotel services like breakfast, dinner and room upselling
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures while communicating with guests and quoting the rates
- Adhere at all times to the hotel email/telephone etiquette, greeting face to face etiquette and grooming standards
- To perform cashiering tasks as and when required
- To share the communications with the guests in timely manner as and when any communication is received for the guest
- Ensure that guest parking services and charges are communicated to the guests
Skills and requirements
- Exceptional customer care skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the hotel
- Able to work on Weekends and flexibility with the time schedule
- Constantly improve knowledge and show a desire to learn, attend company’s trainings
- Take a responsible approach towards timekeeping and attendance to ensure the department runs efficiently, and assist in the event of absence cover
- Maintain high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to every task undertake
- Good communication skills both written and spoken
- Proficiency in English language is strongly preferred
- Guestline PMS system experience is preferable
- Previous experience in hotel environment is preferable but not essential
