HR & Compliance Officer
Location: Hybrid (~3 days office based). Head Office, Grantham, NG31 (with some travel as required)
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time - 40 hours per week, 08:30 until 17:00 Monday to Friday
Anchor Care and Education provides therapeutic residential care for children and young people. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and organised HR & Compliance officer to help us maintain high standards, support our managers and ensure we continue to deliver safe, effective and compliant services.

Working closely with senior leaders, managers and our external HR advisors, you will take ownership of HR administration, recruitment compliance and workforce records across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- This is a hands-on role with responsibility for ensuring our HR and onboarding processes are efficient, compliant and well organised.
You will:
- Manage employee records and HR systems.
- Work with our recruitment manager to complete onboarding and pre-employment checks in line with Ofsted regulations.
- Ensure safer recruitment requirements are met and maintained.
- Monitor DBS checks, references, qualifications.
- Undertake regular audits of personnel files and compliance records.
- Support managers with HR administration and employee documentation.
- Produce workforce and compliance reports.
- Assist with policy reviews and organisational projects.
- Support the organisation in maintaining compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and confident working independently.
You will have:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Safer Recruitment training (desirable).
- Experience working within an HR administration, HR coordination or compliance-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and undertaking compliance audits.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience within children's residential care, education, healthcare or another regulated environment would be highly advantageous.
