Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our construction and infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting related to construction projects. Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects from initial design through to completion.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential overruns early.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and ensure work complies with contractual specifications.
- Manage tendering processes, including evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects, including variations, claims, and payments.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Implement effective cost control measures and provide detailed reports for senior management on project financial status.
- Assist in the preparation of contractual documentation and procurement strategies aligned with project requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong knowledge of cost control practices, budgeting, and financial management in construction projects.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools for estimating and project management.
- Good understanding of contractual procedures and legal frameworks governing construction projects.
- Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Pay: £50,299.75-£56,992.08 per year
