Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our financial management team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, mentoring junior staff, and optimizing accounting processes using leading software tools. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain data integrity across all financial records.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of financial management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Assist with audits by preparing documentation, schedules, and supporting materials required by external auditors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft or equivalent systems.
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience managing accounts payable processes and supporting overall financial management activities.
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail; ability to identify issues swiftly and recommend solutions.
- Demonstrated mentoring abilities with a commitment to team development.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £25,420.00-£56,826.94 per year
