Responsibilities
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, organized, and sanitized in accordance with health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with cooking tasks as needed to facilitate smooth service flow
- Manage the dishwashing process, ensuring all cookware, utensils, and tableware are thoroughly cleaned and stored properly
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials, notifying management when supplies run low
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold environmental standards
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary items or assistance to enhance guest service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
- Basic understanding of hygiene standards related to food handling and cleanliness
