Barnsley Depot | Delivering across Wakefield
Linear Link Ltd is looking for reliable self-employed drivers to join a growing parcel delivery operation from our Barnsley depot, delivering into allocated Wakefield postcode areas.
Whether you’re an experienced multi-drop courier with your own van or have a car and are looking to get into delivery work, we’d be interested in hearing from you.
What can you earn?
Drivers are paid 90p per successful delivery stop, so the more stops you complete, the more you earn.
As a guide:
Newer drivers / car routes
Around 100–140 stops = £90–£126 per day
Experienced drivers / larger car or small van
Around 140–180 stops = £126–£162 per day
Experienced multi-drop drivers / vans
Around 180–220 stops = £162–£198 per day
High-volume routes may offer the opportunity to earn £200+ per day.
These aren’t guaranteed day rates — your earnings depend on the number of stops available and successfully completed. We’ll aim to allocate routes based on your experience and vehicle capacity, so we aren’t expecting someone new to multi-drop delivery to walk in and complete 200 stops on their first day.
What does the job involve?
You’ll collect your allocated parcels from our Barnsley depot, load your vehicle and deliver within an assigned Wakefield postcode area.
We’re aiming to keep routes compact and postcode-focused, rather than sending drivers all over the region.
Work is expected to be available Monday to Saturday, subject to customer volumes.
What you’ll need
* Your own car or van
* Full UK driving licence
* Appropriate courier/delivery insurance
* Smartphone with mobile data
* A reliable and professional attitude
* Comfortable working independently
Multi-drop experience is great, but it isn’t essential.
If you’re new to parcel delivery but you’re reliable, organised and willing to learn, we’d still like to hear from you.
Why Linear Link?
We’re not looking to build a revolving door of drivers.
We’re building a new high-volume operation and want to develop a reliable core group of regular subcontractors as volumes increase.
Drivers who are dependable and perform well will be prioritised for regular routes as more volume and postcode areas become available.
Pay
90p per successfully completed delivery stop.
If several parcels are delivered to the same address, this counts as one stop.
This is a self-employed subcontractor position, so you’ll be responsible for your own vehicle, fuel, insurance and tax.
