Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components utilizing hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Disassemble and assemble vehicle parts with precision, ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and procedures followed, for quality control and customer transparency.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or bulky parts or equipment during repair processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and offering professional advice on vehicle maintenance.
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical systems within vehicles.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques essential for automotive repairs.
- Solid mechanical knowledge combined with experience in equipment repair and routine maintenance tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper safety protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics software and troubleshooting procedures is a plus.
