Seaglaze Group is a family-owned engineering and manufacturing business based in Rackheath, Norwich, with over 50 years of engineering heritage. We design and manufacture high-quality windows, doors, hatches and specialist glass products for the marine industry, supplying customers throughout the UK and internationally.
Due to continued investment, including the installation of brand-new Haas CNC machining centres, we are looking for an experienced Machinist Team Leader to lead our machining department. This is a hands-on role where you will combine your machining expertise with the ability to motivate, organise and develop a small team while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and productivity.
The Role
You will:
- Lead and support the machining team on a day-to-day basis.
- Programme, set and operate our new Haas CNC mill and Haas CNC lathe.
- Carry out manual machining when required.
- Allocate work to ensure production targets and delivery dates are achieved.
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Carry out first-off inspections and quality checks.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Drive continuous improvement within the machining department.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Work closely with production, engineering and management teams.
About You
You will have:
- Proven CNC machining experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience programming and operating CNC machining centres.
- Haas programming and operating experience would be an advantage, although training can be provided.
- Leadership or supervisory experience, or the ambition to step into a leadership role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to motivate and develop others.
- A proactive approach with a strong work ethic.
- Good attendance and timekeeping.

Hours
Monday to Friday
40 hours per week, with overtime available.
Pay: £29,200.00-£33,000.00 per year
