We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Principal Lecturer to lead our Performance, Events and Experience Design provision. This senior role carries responsibility for the strategic development and operational oversight of a dynamic portfolio of music, production and event-focused programmes.
You will provide strong academic leadership, ensuring high-quality delivery, an excellent student experience, and a curriculum that reflects current and emerging industry practice. Working closely with academic teams and external partners, you will drive innovation, maintain standards, and support growth across the portfolio.
You will oversee strategic and operational aspects of our honours degrees in Popular Music, Music Business, Sound Engineering and Audio Production, and Music Production, alongside foundation degrees in Live Event Technology, Music Performance, and Audio and Music Production. The role also includes strategic and operational oversight of postgraduate programmes in Event Management, Music Production, and Sound Engineering and Audio Production.
Key responsibilities include leading curriculum development, managing academic teams, ensuring quality assurance and compliance, and strengthening links with industry to enhance employability and progression as well as significant operational management of the day to day running of aspects of the department You will play a central role in shaping a forward-looking offer that integrates performance, technology and live experience design.
