Join Ashgate Hospice’s Fundraising team as our Individual Giving Manager and help shape the future of sustainable income generation for our Hospice.
Leading our Individual Giving and Lottery teams, you will take responsibility for income streams worth over £2.5 million each year, developing innovative fundraising activity that connects supporters with the difference their generosity makes.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to use their creativity, strategic thinking and leadership skills to grow income, develop inspiring supporter journeys and build long-lasting relationships with our community.
Working collaboratively across the Hospice, you will lead the development of Individual Giving, In-Memory Giving, Legacy and Lottery fundraising, identifying new opportunities and ensuring supporters feel valued, engaged and connected to our work.
You will inspire and support your team to achieve ambitious goals, championing a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:

Lead the strategic development and growth of Individual Giving, In-Memory Giving, Legacy and Lottery income streams

Develop engaging supporter journeys that attract, retain and grow donor relationships

Plan, monitor and deliver income budgets, maximising opportunities to increase sustainable income

Create and deliver successful appeals and campaigns in partnership with Marketing and Communications

Build meaningful relationships with supporters and demonstrate the impact of their donations

Lead, coach and develop team members to achieve shared goals

Develop volunteer opportunities to enhance fundraising activity

Ensure fundraising activity is delivered in line with best practice, legislation and Hospice values

Significant experience of successful fundraising and income growth within the charity sector

Strong knowledge of Individual Giving, including Legacy, In-Memory Giving and Lottery fundraising

Proven experience leading, motivating and developing a team to achieve results

Experience managing budgets and monitoring performance against targets

Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills

A creative, proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities and drive improvement

Understanding of fundraising best practice, charity legislation, GDPR and supporter stewardship
