We’re looking for a reliable, thorough and practical person to help us keep the Rehab Hub clean, tidy and well looked after.
The main role is cleaning. We’re a busy private injury, rehabilitation and sports performance clinic in Biggleswade, and we take a lot of pride in keeping the clinic looking clean, professional and welcoming for our patients and team.
It’s a small role of around 3 hours per week, so it could suit someone looking for a few regular hours alongside other work.
Hours
We can offer some flexibility around how the three hours are worked:
- 2 x 1.5-hour cleans each week, either early morning or later in the evening
- Or one 3-hour clean on a Saturday or Sunday
We can agree the exact arrangement with the right person.
Depending on the agreed hours, you may be responsible for opening up or closing the clinic, including securing the building and setting/unsetting the alarm.
The cleaning
The regular clean will include:
- Treatment rooms
- Reception and waiting areas
- Gym and rehabilitation spaces
- Toilets
- Staff kitchen and communal areas
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- Emptying bins
- Cleaning mirrors, doors and touchpoints
- Keeping cleaning supplies organised
We’re looking for someone who notices the details and takes pride in leaving the whole clinic looking right, rather than simply working through a checklist.
Handy-person skills would be a real bonus
Cleaning is the main job, but if you’re also a practical person who is comfortable tackling small maintenance jobs, we’d love to hear from you.
From time to time, we have little jobs around the clinic such as putting up a shelf, touching up paintwork, tightening or fixing something, assembling furniture or dealing with other minor repairs.
These skills aren’t essential, but if you do have handy-person skills, the odd extra hour or two will very likely be yours too!
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Extremely reliable
- Thorough, with good attention to detail
- Happy and confident working independently
- Comfortable and safe working alone in the building
- Trustworthy enough to hold responsibility for opening/closing and securing the clinic
- Proactive and able to spot when something needs attention
- Friendly and easy to work with
Previous professional cleaning experience would be useful, but reliability, care and attitude matter just as much to us.
