Leicester's Leading Independent Lighting Retailer is looking for a sales advisor to join our small team. Applicants must have confident people skills, basic computer knowledge and be able to deal with customers and suppliers through telephone, email and in person. We are also looking for someone who has lighting knowledge or is eager to learn about the industry so we can continue to advise customers to the high standard we are known for. Someone with a passion for design, DIY and interiors is preferable.
The successful candidate must be comfortable and willing to work alone within the showroom. They must have a drive and eagerness to sell and learn about the products and must also be proactive during quiet periods.
We are looking for trustworthy candidates in both part-time and full-time roles working a minimum of 21 hours a week (3 Days a week minimum) up to 35 hours a week covering the showroom opening hours:
Monday-Friday: 9am - 5pm
Sunday / Bank Holidays: 11am - 4pm
Candidates must be professional and presentable at all times and must be able to work weekends and bank holidays. If part time, you need to be flexible and willing to cover holidays.
The role will require:
- Opening and closing the showroom
- Being available to work weekends
- Serving and helping customers
- General cleaning of the showroom
- Working alone
- Running of the showroom day to day
- Quality checking light fittings
- Ordering and dealing with suppliers
- Processing cash, card and online payments
- Handing product returns and refund requests
- Managing online website products
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 21 – 35 per week
