We’re looking for ONE full time or TWO part-time experienced and enthusiastic Food Preparation & Sandwich Lead to join our brand-new sandwich concept.
This is not a traditional chef role. You’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality meats and ingredients, ensuring excellent food safety standards, and creating premium hot sandwiches in an open, customer-facing environment.
You’ll play a key role in the success of the business, so we’re looking for someone who takes real pride in their work and enjoys interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meats and sandwich fillings in advance for daily service.
- Cook, portion and store food safely in line with food hygiene regulations.
- Reheat and hot-hold food correctly during service.
- Monitor and record food temperatures.
- Maintain excellent food safety and stock rotation standards.
- Prepare fresh sauces, salads and sandwich accompaniments.
- Assemble high-quality sandwiches consistently during service.
- Ensure the food preparation area and front counter remain clean and organised at all times.
- Manage stock levels and assist with ordering.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
Previous experience in food preparation, catering, deli, café or commercial kitchen environments.
A strong understanding of food hygiene, HACCP principles, temperature control and safe food handling.
Experience preparing and cooking meats.
Knowledge of stock rotation and minimising food waste.
High personal hygiene standards and a professional appearance.
Excellent organisational skills.
A positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and take ownership of the food operation.
Essential:
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum).
Experience with slow-cooked meats, sandwich bars, delis or street food concepts.
Experience using commercial kitchen equipment.
