Food and Beverage Supervisor (Bar)
Burton Rugby Football Club (BRFC) dates back to 1870 and is the 25th oldest club in the world. Four years ago, BRFC moved into a new £5m development, 33-acre site at Battlestead Croft, Tatenhill, and has experienced massive growth in food and beverage sales since the move.
We are currently looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to complement our outstanding catering and events team. The team provides catering for the rugby club and the much wider hospitality operation of Burton RFC the role is part of a team which will take the Club to the next level.
Full training can be provided to the right candidate, We are looking for someone with a "can do attitude" who is able to learn quickly, work under pressure and adapt to new surroundings.

Renumeration
Renumeration will be competitive and commensurate with experience and role responsibility. It will likely comprise of a fixed salary and performance-based elements.
Salary £25,500-27,000k
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the Clubhouse is fully operational and ready for use in line with agreed events.
- Prepare and facilitate events required to the high standards expected.
- Liaise with the team to ensure the smooth running of Club functions and match day events.
- Drive performance within the budget for all catering activities – Primarily bar but mainly event led, serving, setting and facilitating events in harmony with the Head of Bar and Catering.
- Help and Support both Front and Back of house operations
- Work with the many casual staff and volunteers who support the Club.
Experience and Attitude
Bar and Event experience in a quality environment, particularly having some experience in a busy hospitality venue.
- Working with a small core team to develop build and delivery outstanding hospitality packages.
- Experience of managing and motivating a catering team of paid and volunteers to purchase, prepare and delivery meals for up to 1000 people over a 3-day period.
- Food hygiene qualification certification at Level 2 and 3 (Desirable but not essential) - Full Training will be provided
- Be a champion of hygiene, cleanliness and standard across both the Bar and Kitchen
- Hands on approach with willingness to support the wider team with any task.
Working Hours
40hr/week with mostly weekend working and time off during the week. You will be expected to manage your time, in conjunction with the Head of Bar, to meet the needs of the Club, but in doing so you are able to build in a degree of flexibility. There will be some degree of late night and early mornings
