About the Role
We are hiring a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our growing property maintenance team at Community Property Care.
This is a mobile maintenance role covering Reading and surrounding areas, carrying out a wide range of property maintenance, compliance, and repair work across residential sites.
This role would suit someone with experience as a maintenance operative, multi-trade operative, handyman, or property maintenance technician.
Essential requirements:
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Multi-trade maintenance experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out reactive and planned property maintenance across multiple sites
- Completing general repairs (carpentry, decorating, fencing, minor electrical, etc.)
- Conducting fire door inspections, Asset inspections and repairs (training provided)
- Recording work, quoting, and updating jobs using mobile apps and a laptop
- Communicating with tenants and managing agents
- Delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Occasional overnight stays when required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a multi-skilled operative / multi-trade / maintenance technician / handyman
- Basic electrical repair knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills and reliability
- Comfortable using mobile apps and digital systems
- Fire door experience (desirable but not essential)
