Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant Front of House Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and service, and supporting the management team to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, or hotel settings is highly desirable, along with strong leadership qualities and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front of house staff, including serving, hosting, and barista duties, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Assist in managing reservations, guest enquiries, and seating arrangements to optimise customer experience
- Support food preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders in collaboration with kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the establishment
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service, fostering a positive team environment
- Oversee staff scheduling, training, and development to enhance team performance
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support the implementation of promotional activities and special events within the venue
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, with a focus on front of house operations
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy setting
- Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or restaurant is essential
- A proactive approach to problem-solving

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
