Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Practitioner Level 3 to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and educational activities to children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for working with children. The practitioner will play a vital role in supporting children's development and ensuring compliance with relevant childcare standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging educational activities tailored to individual children's needs and developmental stages
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being within the nursery environment
- Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through positive interactions and guidance
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment focused on quality childcare
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Lead by example in promoting best practices in childcare, health & safety procedures, and nursery policies
- Assist in organising daily routines such as meal times, play sessions, and rest periods
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes to enhance learning outcomes
Requirements
- Hold a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent in early childhood education
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate colleagues and support their professional development
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety standards
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required; driving licence is desirable for travel between nursery sites or community engagement activities

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
