About the Department
The Ticketing team plays a vital role in connecting supporters with Birmingham City Football Club. Whether it's helping fans secure their season ticket, purchasing tickets for home and away fixtures, or supporting the Club's move towards digital ticketing, the team is committed to delivering a seamless and memorable experience for every supporter.
Working closely with departments across the Club, the Ticketing team is at the forefront of fan engagement, ensuring every interaction reflects our values and enhances the supporter journey.
About the Role
As a Ticket Sales Advisor, you'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional service across all ticketing channels, including telephone, email, online and face-to-face sales.
You'll process ticket sales accurately, provide expert support to supporters, promote digital ticketing, and identify opportunities to upsell Club products and services. You'll also play an important role on matchdays, helping ensure our supporters enjoy the very best experience when attending Birmingham City FC fixtures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process home, away and season ticket sales accurately via telephone, online and in person.
- Deliver outstanding customer service across calls, emails and face-to-face enquiries.
- Promote and support the Club's digital ticketing initiatives and access control systems.
- Identify opportunities to upsell tickets and Club products while meeting departmental targets.
- Ensure all customer enquiries are handled professionally and within agreed service levels.
- Update and maintain accurate supporter records within the Club's CRM system.
- Assist with cash handling and reconciliation when operating ticket office tills.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions and coaching to continually develop knowledge and performance.
- Represent Birmingham City Football Club professionally at all times.
- Support all men's, women's and academy home fixtures, with occasional travel to away fixtures where required.
- Comply with all Club policies, including Health & Safety, Equality, Data Protection and safeguarding requirements.
About You
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and creating positive experiences for supporters. You're confident communicating with a wide range of customers, remain calm under pressure, and take pride in delivering accurate work.
You'll also have:
- Previous experience in a customer service or ticket sales environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience handling customer enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Strong numeracy skills and experience handling transactions.
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
