Head of Care – Dementia Residential Care Home
Rugby | £33,000 per annum | Full-Time | Monday–Friday (8:30am–5:00pm)
Pinnacle Care is looking for an experienced and compassionate Head of Care to join our friendly leadership team at one of our residential dementia care homes in Rugby.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior carer, team leader or deputy manager looking to take the next step in their career. You'll play a key role in shaping the quality of care within the home, supporting and developing the care team, and ensuring residents receive the highest standards of person-centred dementia care.
This is a predominantly office-based role with regular Monday to Friday working hours, providing an excellent work-life balance while still allowing you to remain connected with residents and the care team.
Although primarily office based, you may occasionally be asked to work alongside the care team to provide quality monitoring, coaching or additional staff support, so flexibility is desirable.
The Role
As Head of Care, you will:
- Lead, motivate and support the care team to deliver outstanding person-centred dementia care
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments and documentation remain accurate and up to date
- Monitor and maintain high standards of care quality, safeguarding and regulatory compliance
- Coach, mentor and develop staff through supervision and ongoing support
- Work closely with the Registered Manager, residents, relatives and external professionals
- Promote a positive, safe and compassionate culture throughout the home
- Assist with audits, investigations and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Help shape the future direction of the service as part of the home's leadership team
Salary & Hours
- £33,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Predominantly office based with occasional care floor support
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years' experience working in adult social care
- At least 3 years' experience in a senior or supervisory care role (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
- A strong understanding of dementia care and person-centred practice
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, professional and compassionate approach
