Ali's Academy is seeking motivated and academically strong Weekend Tutors to join our Bracknell and Wokingham learning centres.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to gain practical classroom experience while helping students improve their academic skills and confidence.
We are welcoming applications from experienced tutors, graduates, university students, and aspiring teachers who enjoy working with young learners and creating a positive learning environment.
Role Overview
As a Weekend Tutor, you will support students through structured tuition sessions using Ali's Academy's learning resources and teaching framework.
You will work with small groups of students across different academic levels, including those preparing for 11 Plus, SATs, GCSE, and A Level examinations.
Your role will be to guide students, explain concepts clearly, encourage engagement, and help them make consistent academic progress.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured weekend tuition sessions
- Provide academic support in Maths, English, Science, or relevant subjects
- Help students develop confidence and improve their understanding
- Encourage active participation and maintain a focused classroom environment
- Support students with questions and learning challenges
- Complete attendance records and follow academy procedures
- Communicate effectively with the Centre Manager and teaching team
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have strong subject knowledge and academic ability
- Are confident communicating with students and parents
- Are reliable, punctual, and organised
- Have a genuine interest in supporting children's learning
- Can create a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Have the right to work in the UK
Previous teaching or tutoring experience is beneficial but not essential. Training and ongoing support will be provided to successful candidates.
