About Skills Academy
Skills Academy provides structured, enjoyable and inclusive football coaching for children through our after-school clubs and Soccer Saturday programme.
We're looking for reliable, enthusiastic football coaches who genuinely enjoy working with children and want to help them improve both as players and as people.
For us, a great coach isn't just someone who understands football. You need to be able to engage a group of children, communicate clearly, create a positive environment and help every player get the most from a Skills Academy session.
The Role
You'll plan and deliver fun, structured football sessions for children of different ages and abilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging football sessions.
- Helping children develop their technical, physical, social and mental skills.
- Creating a positive, safe and inclusive environment.
- Motivating and engaging children with different levels of ability.
- Working positively with other Skills Academy team members to deliver high-quality programmes.
- Maintaining attendance and session records.
- Reporting any incidents or concerns promptly.
- Keeping relevant coaching, safeguarding and first-aid qualifications up to date.
- Taking part in ongoing training and development.

- Confident communicating with children.

- Comfortable taking responsibility for their own sessions.
- Passionate about football and developing young people.
- Able to create a positive environment where children feel comfortable learning and making mistakes.
- Open to feedback and keen to continue developing as a coach.

You'll receive:
- £15.00-£20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
