As a well-established family-run business, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of care, giving our customers peace of mind while they are away. We care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and small pets, and are looking for enthusiastic Seasonal Pet Care Assistants to join us during our busiest period.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals in a hands-on role and wants to gain valuable experience within a professional pet care environment.
About the Role
As a Seasonal Pet Care Assistant, you will play an important part in helping us provide outstanding care to the animals staying with us. Working alongside our experienced team, your responsibilities will include:
- Walking and exercising dogs
- Cleaning and maintaining animal accommodation to a high standard
- Assisting with the general care and wellbeing of dogs, cats, and small animals
- Washing feeding bowls, bedding, and equipment
- Assisting with laundry duties
- Supporting the upkeep and maintenance of the company grounds
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both animals and customers
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a genuine passion for animal welfare and pet care
- Be comfortable working with dogs, cats, and small animals
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Be reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
- Be physically fit and capable of an active role
- Hold a full UK driving license
- Have their own transport due to our remote location
- Be available for an immediate start
- Have no pre-booked holidays between July and the end of September 2026
- Be flexible and available to work weekends and Bank Holidays as required
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience working with animals is beneficial but not essential. An animal care qualification or relevant studies would be advantageous, although full training for the duties of this role will be provided.
Working Hours
- 3–5 days per week, including weekend days
- Typical shifts are:
- 7:00am – 4:00pm
- 8:00am-4:00pm
- 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Overtime opportunities may be available during busy periods

This position is offered on a seasonal basis from July to the end of September 2026. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to become a valued returning seasonal member of our team for future peak periods, including Easter, Summer, Half-Term, and Christmas holidays.
