About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprentice to join our friendly community pharmacy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in pharmacy and gain valuable on-the-job experience while completing a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
You will work alongside experienced pharmacy staff and develop practical skills in dispensing, customer service, stock management and supporting the safe and efficient running of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Receive and process prescription requests.
- Support the dispensing team with preparing and assembling medicines under appropriate supervision.
- Assist with stock ordering, receiving and maintaining pharmacy stock.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional pharmacy environment.
- Handle telephone enquiries and direct patients to the appropriate member of the pharmacy team.
- Support administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Learn and follow pharmacy procedures, policies and legal requirements.
- Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Work effectively as part of the wider pharmacy team.
- Complete all required apprenticeship training and assessments.
