Sales Assistant — Hi-Fi & Home Cinema
Nintronics Ltd | Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire | Full-time, showroom-based
About Nintronics
Nintronics is a family-owned specialist hi-fi and home cinema retailer based in Welwyn Garden City. Our showroom features multiple dedicated demonstration rooms, and we represent some of the finest audio and video brands in the world.
The Role
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role at the heart of the showroom — you'll help people find the right system for their room, budget and taste.
- Welcoming customers to the showroom and understanding what they're looking for
- Running product demonstrations across our demo rooms.
- Guiding customers through options, preparing quotes, and closing sales in-store, by phone and by email
- Handling day-to-day showroom duties: keeping demo rooms presentation-ready, processing orders, and following up with customers after purchase
Social Media & Content
- Helping create content for our social channels - product photography, short videos and posts showcasing new arrivals and demo systems
- Helping keep product launches, events and offers visible online
Events & Open Days
- Helping plan and run showroom open days, product launch events and manufacturer demo evenings
- Coordinating with brands and distributors on event support
- Making sure every event runs smoothly on the day.
What We're Looking For
- A genuine enthusiasm for music, film, and audio/video equipment — you don't need to be an expert on day one, but you need to care
- Confident, friendly communicator who enjoys talking to people face-to-face
- Comfortable creating content for Instagram, Facebook and YouTube (phone videography/photography skills a big plus)
- Organised, reliable, and happy to muck in — this is a small team where everyone does a bit of everything
- Sales or retail experience preferred, ideally in a considered-purchase environment
- Availability to work Saturdays and occasional evening events
Bonus points for:
- Hi-fi, home cinema or pro audio knowledge (turntables, streaming, AV receivers, room setup)
- Experience with video editing apps (CapCut, Premiere, etc.)
- Experience running or supporting in-store events
- Happy to work on some Saturdays
What We Offer
- Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
- Staff discount on equipment
- The chance to work hands-on with genuinely world-class audio and video systems every day
- A friendly, family-run team environment
Pay: £24,420.00-£45,342.72 per year
