Operations & Delivery Manager

About Us
We are a growing bespoke furniture manufacturer delivering high-quality commercial and residential furniture across the UK. We are looking for an organised, proactive and hands-on Operations & Delivery Manager to coordinate our day-to-day operations and ensure projects move smoothly from order through manufacture to delivery.
The Role
You will be the link between our office, workshop and customers, ensuring production is planned effectively, deadlines are met and communication flows across the business. This is a practical leadership role with regular time spent on the workshop floor supporting team leaders and solving problems.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and manage production schedules across multiple projects.
· Coordinate work between design, procurement, manufacturing, finishing and installation.
· Monitor project progress and ensure on-time delivery.
· Act as the main operational contact for customers.
· Lead daily production planning meetings.
· Support and develop production team leaders.
· Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
· Drive continuous improvement.
· Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping.
· Report operational KPIs.
About You
· Experience in furniture, joinery, shopfitting or similar manufacturing.
· Strong planning and organisational skills.
· Experience managing production schedules or multiple projects.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Hands-on, proactive approach.
· Continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable Qualifications
· Level 3 or Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (ILM or CMI).
· IOSH Managing Safely (or NEBOSH General Certificate).
· Lean Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent Continuous Improvement qualification.
· PRINCE2 Foundation, APM Project Fundamentals or similar project management qualification.
· HNC/HND or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations or Production Management.
