Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Flat Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining flat roofing systems on residential buildings. Your expertise will ensure durable, weather-resistant roofs that meet safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide roofing installation and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to install flat roofing systems effectively
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, patching, and applying necessary materials for optimal adhesion and durability
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow
- Execute precise carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or masonry tasks as needed for roof penetrations or structural support
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and identify areas for maintenance or improvement
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to construction site regulations
Experience
- Prior construction experience with a focus on roofing is highly preferred
- Familiarity with roofing systems, including flat roofs made of materials such as EPDM, TPO, or modified bitumen
- Hands-on experience with schematics, welding, hand tools, power tools, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, heavy lifting, and construction site safety
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise installation tasks
- Knowledge of safety standards related to roofing work and construction environments
