We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the headquarters of a leading corporate bank in London.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a prestigious corporate environment while helping to maintain a safe, compliant and efficient workplace.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced engineer with either electrical or mechanical qualifications and a strong background in building services maintenance.
You'll join a supportive team environment with opportunities to develop your career, including progression to Lead Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across site.
- Respond to reactive maintenance tasks, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing and minor fabric repairs.
- Complete routine site inspections, checks and asset monitoring.
- Supervise and coordinate specialist subcontractors working on site.
- Support compliance activities and maintain accurate statutory documentation.
- Undertake fault finding, problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Complete risk assessments and follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Provide updates to stakeholders and support contract performance objectives.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Electrical or Mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Strong maintenance experience within facilities management or building services.
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience within commercial buildings.
- Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
