About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Support Worker to join our team in Guildford, Surrey. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with learning disabilities by providing personalised care and support. Your empathetic approach and commitment to promoting independence will empower those you support to lead fulfilling lives and actively participate in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Individualised Support: Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring they receive the care and encouragement needed to thrive.
- Personal Care Assistance: Help with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while respecting the dignity and preferences of each individual.
- Meal Planning and Preparation: Collaborate with individuals in planning and preparing nutritious meals, fostering skills and promoting healthy eating habits.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean and secure living environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Medication Management: Support individuals with medication management, ensuring accurate administration and compliance with medical guidelines.
- Promote Independence: Encourage self-advocacy and independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and developing life skills.
- Document and Report: Maintain comprehensive records of care provided and report any changes or concerns regarding individuals’ well-being to the appropriate team members.
- Engagement in Activities: Facilitate and participate in recreational and social activities, helping individuals build confidence and social skills.
- Support Communication: Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and other team members, ensuring clear and respectful interactions.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in Care and working with individuals with a diagnosis of Learning Disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Knowledge of Care Practices
- Communication Skills

- Driving Licence

- Commute/Relocate: Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Surrey, before starting work.
