Key Responsibilities:
· Machine or workstation operational responsibility for Moulding 1 or 2:
- Standardisation & sustaining of the workstation and workplace including machines, machine area, working area, floor layout and part storage layout to the correct 5S standard
- Liaise with Technicians to support and achieve the daily production & activity plan
- Escalation of any and all concerns including downtime, quality control and minor stoppage issues or concerns to Team Leader or Supervisor as applicable
- Supporting the Technician and quality control of the process through establishment and confirmation of a first-part standard
- 100% degating of parts to a defined degate standard
- 100% inspection of all parts to a defined quality standard and the correct management of parts failing to comply with standard
- 100% packing of all parts to a defined packing standard
- 100% labelling of all parts to a defined label and label fit standard
- Correct reporting and recording of all performance related issues throughout the shift on the production performance record
- Confirmation of the correct data recording and the successful handover of the sheet to the production Team Leader or Supervisor at the end of the shift
- Isolation and effective stock control of detected quality related concerns and effective management and inspection of ‘Quality Alerts’ relating to parts running at that time
· Health & Safety responsibilities:
- Complete a visual and effective start and end of shift check to ensure effective safe handover between shift operators
- Immediate escalation of any & all health and safety issues or concerns found within the shift
- Accidents or near-miss to be escalated immediately to Supervisor
· Improvement activities:
- Become an active and contributing team member of the shift
- Mentor staff and pro-actively assist development of all improvement activities on all zones
Experience & Qualifications:-
- Good level of literacy and numeracy required.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Good Team Player.
- Able to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Buckingham MK18 1BH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
