We are looking for Solar Labourers to support a team delivering solar installation projects across Kent, Essex and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on role supporting solar installation teams on-site. You will be responsible for moving and handling materials, assisting installers and keeping work areas safe, clean and organised.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous construction or site experience who wants to gain experience in the growing renewable energy sector.
You will work as part of a solar installation team, supporting qualified installers with the practical tasks required to complete projects safely and efficiently.
The standard working day is 8:00am to 4:00pm.
The main office is based in Swanley, although projects will take place across Kent, Essex and surrounding areas.
Assist solar installation teams with day-to-day site activities.
Load, unload and move solar panels, equipment and other materials.
Carry materials safely around site.
Support installers with preparation and installation activities.
Keep work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards.
Help load and unload company vehicles.
Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced installers.
Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
Use basic hand tools where required.
Work safely and professionally at residential and commercial properties.
Previous experience working on a construction site or in a labouring role.
CSCS card
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Good awareness of health and safety.
Willingness to work outdoors and in different weather conditions.
Able to travel to project locations across Kent, Essex and surrounding areas.
A driving licence or own vehicle is not essential.
However, candidates without their own transport will need to be able to travel to a suitable meeting point and obtain a lift to site with another member of the installation team. This will depend on where the wider team is working, so candidates must be flexible regarding travel arrangements.
