Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster teamwork and efficiency
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative ideas to enhance offerings
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock control effectively
- Ensure all food production meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service experiences
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Good organisational skills with experience in stock control and menu planning
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is advantageous

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
