Year 5 Teaching Assistant in Well Respected School

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Start Date: Monday 14 September 2026

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Newham.
The successful candidate will be working within Year 5, supporting children with their learning, development and day-to-day experiences.
The Role
As an Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include supporting children's learning and development, assisting with classroom activities, helping to maintain a positive and stimulating environment, and providing appropriate care and support throughout the school day.
The Ideal Candidate

- Experienced working within a Primary setting
- Passionate about supporting young children's learning and development
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic
- Able to work effectively as part of a school team
- Reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Essential Requirements
Candidates must have:
- Previous experience working within a setting
- All required safeguarding and pre-employment checks completed and available, in line with KCSIE requirements
- The right to work in the UK
