Location: Canterbury Office
This is a part-time position based in our Canterbury office. The preferred working pattern is Wednesday and Friday, 9:00am–5:15pm. We can also offer some flexibility, with the option to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm. Hybrid working may be available following a successful settling-in period.
About the Role
Our Trust Team is responsible for the administration and management of trusts, providing support and guidance while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and safeguarding the interests of beneficiaries.
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Compliance Assistant to support the team with trust administration, file management and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing trust files to identify any missing documentation or information, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks, client identification verification, and completed Terms of Business documentation.
- Contacting clients by telephone and email to obtain outstanding or incomplete information.
- Maintaining and updating the Trust Team database.
- Arranging and booking client meetings.
- Opening and setting up new trust files.
- Assisting the team with general administrative and compliance-related tasks as required.

Experience
- Previous experience within the legal sector or a financial services environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Technical Skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
Pay: £25,500.00-£26,500.00 per year
