Handyperson Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Handyman/woman to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will carry out a variety of repair, upkeep, and improvement tasks that keep our facilities safe, functional, and visually appealing. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy practical, hands-on work and take pride in delivering high-quality results across multiple trades.
Duties
- Perform basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing taps, unclogging drains, and ensuring proper water flow.
- Carry out carpentry repairs including doors, locks, shelving, and minor structural fixes.
- Undertake general maintenance and repairs to keep facilities in good working order.
- Execute painting and decorating projects to refresh and enhance interior and exterior spaces.
- Handle patching and making good of walls, ceilings, and surfaces after repairs or installations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches) and safe use of power tools (drills, sanders, saws).
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards in maintenance and repair work.
- Ability to carry out patching, decorating, and finishing tasks neatly and professionally.
- Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, technical drawings, or simple plans.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and report progress.

Pay: £13.83-£14.00 per hour
