We are looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager to support the continued growth of our Foodservice and Out of Home (FS&OOH) channel across the UK.

You are a strong technical leader with a deep understanding of food safety. You are a commercially astute sales professional with strong relationshipbuilding and negotiation skills. You thrive in a fastpaced FMCG environment, are confident managing national customer relationships, and motivated by delivering sustainable, profitable growth through collaborative partnerships.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Head of OOH, the National Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships across a portfolio of key UK Foodservice and Out of Home customers.
The role is accountable for delivering sustainable and profitable growth across the account base in line with Border Biscuits FS & OOH strategy. You will act as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts, leading joint business planning, pricing, promotional strategy, and contract negotiations.
Working crossfunctionally with Marketing, Category & Insights, Finance, Procurement, and the wider Sales team, you will ensure customer plans are aligned with brand strategy, internal capability, and operational capacity.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT:
You will define product vision, positioning, and success measures. You will play a key role in growing Border Biscuits presence and performance within the Foodservice and OOH channel.
Key accountabilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strong, longterm customer relationships.
- Creating and delivering Joint Business Plans that drive growth at agreed levels of profitability.
- Leading pricing, promotional planning, and contract / terms negotiations.
- Implementing promotional plans aligned to brand values, customer strategy, and capacity constraints.
- Conducting postpromotional analysis to optimise investment and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Monitoring and reporting on financial performance (volume, revenue, margin and promotional spend).
- Accurately forecasting customer demand in line with monthly S&OP cycles and weekly outlooks.
- Supporting Finance with pricing queries and Procurement with availability management.
- Identifying market trends, risks and opportunities and sharing insights with the wider business.
- Contributing to annual budgeting and planning processes.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Proven experience in new product development.
Required:
- Proven FMCG commercial acumen with experience negotiating valueled joint customer plans.
- Strong relationshipbuilding and presentation skills across a wide B2B stakeholder network.
- Tracked record of P&L ownership and delivery of profitable growth in a branded environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insight into clear actions.
Desirable:
- Experience launching NPD / EDP with customers.
- Understanding of changing consumer needs and marketplace pressures.
- Experience developing new business streams and growth opportunities.
- Experience managing national enduser Foodservice & OOH accounts.
- Passion for food, ideally within bakery or treat categories.
- Experience managing ecommerce promotional activities.
- Experience managing wholesaler accounts and established industry networks.
A full UK driving licence is required.
