Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Pharmacy Apprentice to join our healthcare team. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in pharmacy operations, medication management, and patient care within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will work closely with licensed pharmacists and healthcare professionals to develop essential skills and knowledge required for a career in pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining stock levels, organising supplies, and managing inventory.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering patient queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products.
- Help with medication administration processes, including packaging and labelling prescriptions accurately.
- Maintain clean, organised, and compliant pharmacy workspaces in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support patient care activities by assisting with basic health assessments or medication reviews as directed by pharmacists.
- Document all activities accurately within pharmacy records and adhere to confidentiality protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
- A strong interest in medication management, patient care, and healthcare services.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing and record keeping.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating initiative.
- Willingness to learn new skills, follow instructions carefully, and adhere to professional standards.
- Must be aged 18 or over and committed to completing the apprenticeship programme successfully.

Pay: £14,000.00-£16,000.00 per year
