The Role
You’ll be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics and repairs to the highest standard while working efficiently within a busy workshop.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and repairing a wide variety of petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Carrying out major mechanical repairs, including timing belts, timing chains, clutches and suspension work
- Completing MOT repairs efficiently and accurately
- Identifying additional repair opportunities and reporting them to the service team
- Maintaining accurate job records and ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications
- Supporting junior technicians when required
- Helping maintain a clean, organised and professional workshop
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years’ experience as a qualified vehicle technician
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- Is confident working independently with minimal supervision
- Has excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Produces consistently high-quality workmanship
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Holds a full UK driving licence
