The Operations Manager is the General Manager’s right hand and a key member of the resort leadership team, responsible for the smooth, efficient and successful day-to-day operation of the resort across all departments.
As a highly visible and approachable presence, you lead from the front, maintaining a strong understanding of the operation and taking ownership of issues as they arise. You proactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest journey, improve operational efficiency and strengthen team performance, ensuring challenges are addressed quickly, professionally and effectively.
Providing clear leadership and coordination across every department, you ensure consistently high standards of service, presentation and operational performance. You GUIDE THE WAY by leading by example, creating an exceptional guest experience and ensuring every team has the support, direction and resources to perform at its best, striving to exceed guest expectations, whether they are staying overnight in one of our hotel rooms or enjoying a longer stay in one of our self-catering lodges.
Role Responsibilities
Providing key operational support to the General Manager, offering regular updates, insight and recommendations on performance, guest feedback, staffing, standards and business priorities. You lead and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the resort DELIVER RESULTS across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food Beverage, Kitchen, Maintenance and other operational areas, while ensuring strong collaboration between each department and a seamless guest experience.
Maintaining a highly visible, hands-on presence across the resort, engaging regularly with guests and team members and championing consistently high standards at every guest touchpoint. You drive an efficient, safe and professional operation, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact the guest experience.
Continuously improving standards of guest service, cleanliness, presentation, safety and overall resort experience through regular inspections of guest areas, bedrooms, public spaces, facilities and back-of-house operations. Taking ownership of guest feedback, complaints and special requests, ensuring timely, thoughtful and effective service recovery.
You partner with Department Heads to optimise staffing, scheduling, resources and workflows in line with guest demand and business needs, while fostering accountability, collaboration and consistent standards. Supporting with recruitment, training, development and performance management, identifying capability needs and building an engaged, confident and service-focused team.

Drive operational consistency and continuous improvement while supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost control and sales opportunities to maximise efficiency and financial performance without compromising guest or service standards. Role Competencies
Proven operational leadership experience within a fast-paced hotel, resort or hospitality environment, with experience overseeing multiple departments and guest touchpoints.
A confident, collaborative and credible leader who builds strong relationships across all levels of the organisation and works effectively both independently and as part of a wider leadership team.
Highly organised and commercially aware, with strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. BE YOURSELF calm, adaptable and resilient under pressure, with the ability to manage changing priorities, peak periods and unexpected situations while maintaining high standards. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
Professional and personable, with excellent communication skills, a strong presence and genuine pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational standards.

Moness Resort is in the small market town of Aberfeldy. Set in thirty-five acres of ground and situated amidst stunning Highland scenery, the resort offers a range of accommodations, including well equipped family friendly self-catering cottages and hotel rooms.
