Job Overview
Greyhound Hotel is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our hotel maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role also includes responsibility for managing housekeeping supplies, laundry operations, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the housekeeping department.
Duties
- Clean and service guest rooms to a high standard, including making beds, changing linens, and replenishing amenities.
- Clean bathrooms, hallways, staircases, reception areas, and other public spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and polish all designated areas.
- Ensure all rooms are prepared and ready for arriving guests.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to management.
- Handle and dispose of waste safely and responsibly.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from guests and management.
- Work efficiently as part of the housekeeping team to meet daily cleaning schedules.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and shifts as required.
- Right to work in the UK.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
