The role involves supporting the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) and home adaptation services for disabled and vulnerable residents, enabling them to live safely and independently in their own homes. This position is crucial for managing grant cases, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, undertaking assessments, and ensuring a responsive, customer-focused service that achieves excellent outcomes for residents.
Responsibilities

Manage Disabled Facilities Grant applications from initial referral through to completion.

Liaise with residents, Occupational Therapists, contractors, surveyors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.

Conduct feasibility visits, property inspections, interim checks, and final inspections of adaptation works.

Analyse contractor quotations and tender submissions to identify best value solutions.

Assist in preparing specifications, schedules of works, reports, drawings, and related documentation.

Process invoices, verify final accounts, and support financial monitoring and budget control activities.

Maintain accurate case records, databases, and management information systems.

Respond to enquiries, correspondence, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements

Experience administering and processing complex cases, applications, or service requests.

Previous experience within a customer-focused environment delivering high standards of service.

Experience working with Disabled Facilities Grants, housing adaptations, or related services.

Experience working with Occupational Therapists, surveyors, contractors, or technical teams.

Experience within housing, health, social care, or local authority environment.

HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) qualification.

Level 4 Diploma in Construction, Building Studies, or equivalent qualification.

Full UK Driving Licence (or equivalent).

Rate: £35.68 per hour Umbrella.

Working hours: 37 hours per week.
