Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home, ensuring the delivery of high quality, person centered care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of senior and dementia care, and a passion for enhancing residents' quality of life. As the Registered Home Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, managing staff, and fostering a warm, safe environment for residents and their families.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of the care home’s operations, ensuring adherence to care standards and legal requirements.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review personalized care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
- Supervise and support staff members, providing training in assisted living practices, medication administration, and home care procedures.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to maintain a motivated and competent team.
- Monitor quality assurance processes to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and external healthcare professionals to promote transparent communication.
- Manage medication administration processes accurately while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Promote a caring and inclusive environment that emphasizes dignity, independence, and well being for all residents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home management with a strong background in senior care and dementia support.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience within a care home setting.
- Knowledge of care planning processes, medication management, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s care techniques and best practices for managing challenging behaviors associated with dementia.
- Strong organizational abilities with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, residents, and families.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience in managing budgets, staffing schedules, and operational procedures within a care environment.
